Costnora

Terms of use

Version 1 · Last updated Oct 30, 2026

These terms apply when you use Costnora, the app and this website. By creating an account you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy policy.

The service

Costnora helps you track income and expenses by project and share trip costs with other people. It is provided by Karolis Vilimas, Lithuania. It's free to use; if we ever add paid features, we'll tell you the price before you pay anything.

Your account

You need to be 18 or older. Give a real email address, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens in your account.

Your content

What you add stays yours. You let us store it, sync it between your devices and show it to the people you share a trip with, only so we can run the service.

When you add other people to a trip by name or invite them, make sure they're fine with it.

Shared trips

Members of a shared trip can see and change its entries. Settle-up amounts are a calculation to help you split costs; they don't create a legal debt, and any disagreement is between the members.

Not financial advice

Totals, budgets, cost per kilometre and other figures come from what you enter. They're for your information only and aren't financial, tax or legal advice. Check important numbers before you rely on them.

Fair use

Don't use Costnora for anything illegal, don't try to get into other people's data or break the service, and don't overload it with automated requests. We may suspend an account that does.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Costnora running and your data safe, but we can't promise the service will always be available or free of errors. We may change or remove features; if a change affects you significantly, we'll tell you in advance. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.

Liability

Costnora is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, lost profits or decisions made on the basis of figures in the app. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer or our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.

Ending

You can stop using Costnora at any time and delete your account: see Delete your account. We may close an account that seriously breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we'll show you the new version in the app and ask you to accept it before it applies. If you don't accept, you can delete your account.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in its courts. Write to us first: most problems are easier to solve directly.
